Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the rules and guidelines for responsible use of Analyse. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy in addition to our Terms of Service.

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") supplements the Terms of Service and defines acceptable and prohibited use of Analyse ("Service"), operated by VertCode Development E.E. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").

All users, including free and paid subscribers, are expected to use the Service in a manner that is lawful, ethical, and respectful of other users and their data. Failure to comply with this Policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Service to engage in any of the following activities:

  • Engaging in illegal activities or violating Greek or EU law
  • Attempting unauthorized access to the Service, including hacking, brute force attacks, credential stuffing, or exploiting vulnerabilities
  • Distributing malware, viruses, trojans, or any other malicious code through or to the Service
  • Scraping, data mining, or automated data collection beyond permitted API usage
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service
  • Sending spam or unsolicited communications through the Service
  • Impersonating other users, organizations, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any entity
  • Circumventing rate limits, usage quotas, or security measures implemented by the Service
  • Using the Service to violate third-party intellectual property rights
  • Collecting player data for purposes other than analytics, such as targeted advertising or selling data to third parties
  • Using the Service to process special category data (Art. 9 GDPR) without explicit consent from data subjects and a valid legal basis

This list is not exhaustive. We reserve the right to determine, at our sole discretion, whether any use of the Service violates this Policy.

API and Integration Usage

When using our APIs, plugins, or SDKs, you agree to the following principles of fair and responsible use:

  • Respect all documented rate limits and back off appropriately when limits are reached
  • Authenticate all API requests properly using your assigned credentials
  • Never share, expose, or publish your API keys, tokens, or other authentication credentials
  • Use the APIs only for their intended purpose as described in the documentation
  • Do not attempt to bypass API versioning, deprecation schedules, or access controls

If you suspect your API keys have been compromised, rotate them immediately through your account settings and contact us at contact@vertcodedevelopment.com.

Data Responsibilities

As a server operator using Analyse, you act as a data controller under GDPR Art. 4(7) for the player data collected through your server. You are responsible for:

  • Informing your players about the data collection performed by the Analyse plugin or SDK
  • Having a valid legal basis under GDPR Art. 6 for processing player data
  • Not using collected data to identify or contact individual players for marketing purposes
  • Complying with data subject requests (access, rectification, erasure, portability) in accordance with GDPR Chapter III
  • Maintaining appropriate technical and organizational security measures for any data you access or export from the Service

Resource Usage

The Service operates on fair use principles. You agree to use resources responsibly and not to:

  • Abuse free tier allocations or consume resources disproportionate to normal usage patterns
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits, usage quotas, or free tier restrictions
  • Use automated tools to inflate usage metrics or manipulate analytics data
  • Intentionally degrade the performance or availability of the Service for other users

We reserve the right to throttle or restrict access for accounts that exhibit usage patterns significantly outside normal operational parameters.

Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this Policy, we encourage you to report it promptly. You can reach us at contact@vertcodedevelopment.com.

When reporting a violation, please include:

  • A description of the violation and the activity you observed
  • Any relevant evidence such as screenshots, URLs, or log entries
  • The date and time of the observed activity
  • The identity of the party involved, if known

All reports are treated confidentially. We will investigate and take appropriate action as described in Section 07 below.

Consequences

Violations of this Policy may result in one or more of the following actions, applied proportionally to the severity and frequency of the violation:

  • Warning — a formal notice identifying the violation and requesting corrective action
  • Temporary suspension — restricted access to the Service for a defined period
  • Permanent termination — irrevocable removal of your account and access to the Service
  • Data deletion — removal of all data associated with your account, in accordance with our data retention policies

We aim to act proportionally and will consider the context and severity of each case. If your account is suspended or terminated, you have the right to appeal the decision by contacting us at contact@vertcodedevelopment.com within 30 days of the action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the nature of the Service. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days in advance via email or through the Service.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree with the updated Policy, you may terminate your account before the changes take effect.
